Firenze Musei (translated into Florence Museums) is in charge of managing various services within Florence’s network of public museums: museum shops, ticket offices, booking services. Florence’s network includes thirteen museums that own and display about three hundred thousand works of art dating from prehistory to the 20th century. Andrea Tirinnanzi started up the art gallery Firenze Art in November of 1999 to promote contemporary artists and their work. There is a long list of permanent artists and for each one it is possible to view a biography, some of their works of art and some reviews.
